skate-aid supported the we_school initiative, which was founded by Ulrike Reinhard. In 2015, a youth center with adjoining skate park was built near the 70,000-inhabitant town of Panna. In diverse workshops, children and adolescents can acquire new knowledge and skills outside of regular school lessons. They can then apply this directly, for example, to help with skate park maintenance or to build or repair boards themselves. Additional qualifications, such as manual skills, can significantly improve the quality of life of children and their families. The foreign language skills of young people also develop decisively, since in the skate park only English is spoken.
