"skate-aid Sri Lanka: Building more than just a skate park

We’re beyond excited to share that the skate-aid miniramp construction project in Sri Lanka is officially underway! Just a few days ago, the first tools hit the ground…marking the beginning of a powerful new chapter for skate-aid and for the youth of Sri Lanka.

This project is more than just building a skate obstacle…it’s about creating a lasting space of freedom, fun, and empowerment. With this first miniramp, we’re not only opening the door to skateboarding for local kids, but we’re also laying the foundation for a brand-new skate-aid branch in Sri Lanka. A place where skateboarding becomes a tool for education, social connection, and personal growth.

And here's the kicker…the miniramp will feature what may be the most breathtaking view in the world. Imagine skating with the horizon stretching out in front of you, surrounded by nature and good vibes. It’s a space made to inspire, push limits, and nurture big dreams.

Even more exciting: starting in June, the skate-aid volunteer house will be ready to welcome international volunteers! This marks a huge milestone in creating a sustainable and long-term presence on the island. Volunteers will be able to live, work, and skate alongside the community, building real connections and sharing unforgettable moments.

Every brick we lay is part of something bigger…a movement fueled by passion, purpose, and the belief that skateboarding can change lives.

Stay tuned…Sri Lanka is rolling strong, and we’re just getting started!
