Nepal, heart of the Himalayas, the conditions are rough and perspectives cloudy. Children lack a safe space to experience appreciation and become self-determind personalities. "Who am I and what is my purpose in life?"
With our planned skate park in Butwal, the local community will be made stronger. And the stronger it is, the more kids are encouraged to push against the odds. Skateboarding empowers the kids in Nepal. Skateboarding teaches lessons that go beyond...

On the initiative of C&A Germany, the COFRA Foundation donated 100,000 Euro to skate-aid international e.V. last year. Unfortunately, the originally planned date for the cheque presentation had to be postponed again and again due to corona. Therefore we were very excited that Guido Terörde, manager of the C&A store in Münster, was recently able to hand over the gigantic cheque (in every sense of the word). The money will be used for the skate-aid projects in Germany, which, thanks to the donation from C&A, got a proper push. Thanks a lot for this awesome support!

On Sunday (July 4, 2021) it was "celebrate and promote" time again. Our founder and instigator Titus Dittmann had invited to the skate-aid-matinee in his backyard.
Unlike the skate-aid-night, our annual charity gala at the Skaters Palace, our skate-aid family met for the first time exclusively and without the press present for a summer charity event in Münster-Handorf. The idea to organize an art happening in the summer months for the benefit of skate-aid was already on Titus' mind for a long time...

Last year, our GIRLS SKATE! campaign offered girls the opportunity to discover skateboarding for themselves in a series of workshops with our skate-aid coaches and the support of female skateboarders. The goal was not only to generate enthusiasm for skateboarding among the participants, but also to build a new community that will support and encourage girls to pursue their dreams and grow into self-determined women in the long run...

Uganda? That's what it said in the message from skate-aid. I was asked if I wanted to accompany the guys and girls of skate-aid, including Titus, to Uganda to document the whole trip (including the grand opening of the “Skull Bowl” at the Kampala Skatepark) photographically. Taking pictures…traveling…skate-aid project? I didn’t hade to think twice...

This week was under the motto: skate-aid@school powered by Westfaelische Provinzial. This year, together with Provinzial, we’re visiting four additional schools as part of our skate-aid@school project.
We were together with the office Provinzial Aegidiimarkt and our transportable miniramp...

Yesterday we finally restarted with our skateboard workshops in Bethlehem/Palestine. After a break of more than 12 months we’re finally back on the board! The skate park is located near the historic site of Shepherd's Field in the West Bank. Apart from the political instability and the prevailing violence, the area suffers from a high unemployment rate and a high level of poverty. During the construction of the skate park...

We’re back on track! Last week we were able to offer, even though only for two days, our pedagogical skateboard workshop ‘skate-aid@school’ with our mobile mini ramp as a trial offer at the Pleisterschule in Münster. The kids had a lot of fun skateboarding together in a small group and taking on the "challenge" of skateboarding. Skateboarding is a non-contact "sport", but you could tell how much the kids...

For the RUHR GAMES 2021 we’ll fit out two containers in cooperation with the Kliemannsland. The upcycled containers will be the center of the "Skateland-Area” at the RUHR GAMES for 4 days and equipped with boards, helmets and safety gear. Together with the Kliemannsland team and our skate-aid coaches you can try out skateboarding, learn how to assemble boards or expand your trick repertoire...

Hi there, this is Arne Fiehl from BOARDSTEIN!

This year I celebrated Easter at a very exceptional place. Well, I didn`t really celebrate, for me there`s nothing to celebrate rather than having another day off after that Sunday. Anyway, together with me mates Gabu and Kiki and our Rasta-bro Wasswa I travelled to his homeplace, a small village near Kisoro which is a tiny town in the most south west corner of Uganda next to Ruanda and Kongo....
